Boehringer Ingelheim
When Nationwide Contracts are tendered and completed.

Client Background:
Boehringer Ingelheim is an independent, family-owned pharmaceutical company that was first established over 130 years ago in Ingelheim, Germany. With a strong focus on research and development, the company has a proud heritage in developing innovative medicines to improve the health and wellbeing of people and animals.

In New Zealand, Boehringer Ingelheim operates in the areas of Prescription Medicine, Animal Health and has local research and development and manufacturing facilities.

The Project:
In January 2017, two leading animal health companies, Merial and Boehringer Ingelheim united into one business, now called ‘Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health’. The company engaged Corporate Signage Limited to design, manufacture, install and commission new signage nationwide.
Signage Required included:
• 2 x Illuminated rooftop signs
• 1 x wall sign
• 13 carpark signs
• Removal of 4 Rooftop Illuminated Signs and wall sign
After discussions with management it was decided to remove all the rooftop signs and replace them with 2 x larger signs. This process required sign design, engineer’s calculations and lighting tests to be provided for an exemption under the bylaws to Auckland Council.
We manufactured two new flexiface signcases with internal Led lighting and PVC skin faces. Translucent graphics were applied once the signcases were completed.
Preliminary site electrical work was undertaken.
Traffic Management had to be organised along with a 300 tonne crane for removal of existing signcases and installation of new signs. Auckland Council allowed us to carry out the job between the hours of midnight and 5am the next day, all of which was successfully completed by Pro Sign Services Ltd.
Final electrical commissioning of the signs was carried out and a certificate of compliance was issued.
